Robert Kiyosaki, A Man I RespectAfter reading an article “Rich Dad Poor Dad Seminars a Scam?” at Young And Thrifty, I was quite surprised that free seminars or even paid seminars were running some kind of scam to get people to increase their credit card limit and even pay from $500 to a higher advanced seminar worth $45,000. Wow, that’s a lot of money for a 3-day seminar. I wonder if the participants get to have a guarantee on their hard-earned money that they would really be successful, and if not, they’ll get a refund.

What about Robert Kiyosaki? Well, it was mentioned in the article that there was an interview with him in Vancouver in regards to the incident and he just said that “he is aware that this company (which is not his company but a license of his “brand”- Rich Dad Poor Dad, he claims) has had many complaints and unhappy customers.” He is aware of it? But why didn’t he do something about it?

What do you have to say? I have learned a lot from him, his books and his board game – CashFlow (yes, I have it at home) and all I have to say is that whatever good things that I have learned, I’ll be keeping them and continuously apply the knowledge that I have gained in financial literacy. The current situation he is in right now, about these seminars is quite sad thing to see the person you respect be related to.

But life goes on. And with these kinds of challenges, I think we learn from them and do hope that he makes a move to stop these from happening in the future. It is not good to the public and the new entrepreneurs who are starting out on their own and looking for guidance.

If you have comments and suggestions, I’m eager to hear from you, so write them down.
