Day 5: You probably know about the ancient story of a disciple and his master having a conversation about knowledge. The story pertains to the disciple asking to achieve wisdom by learning a lot of things and then boasts to his master that he already have enough knowledge to go up to the next level of his training. As their conversation continues on, his master suddenly starts to pour a cup of tea for both of them. He suddenly noticed his cup was already overflowing with tea, and so he asked his master to stop.

This is when his master said that wisdom doesn’t require too much knowledge in your head. It is applying what you have learned, even though it is great or small, and then wisdom grows by knowing how to use that knowledge to be applied with your daily life.

And as you can see, my cup is always empty and ready to receive tea. This is how you take new knowledge and transform it into wisdom. If you think that you know everything, then there is no space for you to learn.

I really like the moral of this story as it really pertains to us who are searching for the best, fastest and easiest way to get rich here on the internet. But the truth is, that “treasure chest” that we are all digging for does not exist. Too much information could also cause what is called “information overload”.

So if you really want to succeed, you should always remember to be humble and maintain your focus on your goals. Always have an empty cup ready to acquire knowledge and learn new things. Apply what you have learned through actions and you will gain wisdom.

The online success that we are all looking for is coming to us someday. We just need to be patient, learn the basics, take action, improve our skills and soon enough, we’ll be able to achieve victory.
